SHELBY'S New 2011 SSC Ultimate Aero II - THE SUPER CAR TO BEAT BUGGATI VEYRON

SSC Ultimate Aero II is powered by a 6.8-liter twin-turbocharged V8 that can scream up to a 9,000 rpm redline. Power? 1,350 horses, every last drop of which will be needed to hit the targeted top speed of 275 mph. Obviously, this rocketship won’t be available for short money;

SSC Ultimate Aero II is preparing again to oust Bugatti Veyron for the title of world’s fastest production car. Ultimate Aero I held the record until this year when the Bugatti has set a new world record with a model Veyron Super Sport. Now Shelby Super Cars (SSC) have prepared a version which should improve the previous record of 434.211 km / h, about 10 km.

The Shelby Supercars says the 2011 SSC Ultimate Aero II will be able to reach a top speed of 440 km/h. Some of the equipment which will be offered with the new generation 2011 SSC Ultimate Aero II includes ABS, traction control, power steering and Brembo carbon ceramic brakes.
Top speed for a production car fell to the McLaren F1 for years, but Bugatti took that crown with the Veyron. SSC stole that away with the first Ultimate Aero but Bugatti has just reclaimed the fastest production car in the world mantle with the Veyron Super Sport. And now it’s time for SSC to respond.
The aerodynamics of the 2011 SSC Ultimate Aero II will also include and active air brake, just like planes have. This brake will be used to reduce the speed of the car when traveling at very high mph.
